Fast-track land law, NLC told

THE National Land Commission has been petitioned to fast-track the Community Land Bill. Support for Community in Democracy Alliance secretary Rodgers Ochieng said the new law will resolve increasing land disputes in Nyanza. Ochieng said the bill will cushion widows and orphans from landgrabbers. He said widows face hostility from in-laws who grab their land after the death of their husbands.
