The Busia government has warned consumers against buying adulterated fuel. Roads executive Gregory Odeke said it is criminal to sell fuel that does not meet international standards. He said the crime is punishable by law. Speaking during the official opening of Shreeji Service Station in Busia on Wednesday, Odeke told businessmen to ensure that only quality fuel was sold to the public. “Those who engage in business of selling such kind of fuel ruining the image of the county and damaging vehicles,” he said.
