RESIDENTS of Kisumu county have dismissed the demand by ward representatives to have armed bodyguards assigned to them. The residents told the ward representatives to make good use of the municipal askaris if they feel their lives are at stake. “We elected them to spur the development agenda of the county and not to demand for lavish life,” said Lamek Otieno. Otieno asked the county legislators to emulate their colleagues from other counties who have started delivering services instead of asking for security aides.
